Our Tuition

Music lessons are a great way to invest in your family’s future. Our tuition is budget-friendly with no long-term contracts. We offer annual tuition divided into 12 equal monthly payments. This makes it predictable and easy to budget for families. Payments are conveniently made by recurring ACH bank transfers or automatic deductions from a credit or debit card accounts.* We accept all major credit cards but prefer ACH payments. We do not accept stored-value cards, cash, or personal checks. All fees and tuition are subject to change.

*Note: Families that register using ACH payments or switch from credit/debit card payments to ACH will receive a one-time $50 credit.

We request ACH or credit/debit card information to confirm your first lesson.

Our Policies

Please call our front desk (925) 461-3266 if you have any questions about our tuition or policies.

Missed Lessons

We understand that there will be times when a student cannot make a scheduled lesson. We kindly ask you to notify Inspire via phone, email or in-person with the front desk at least 24 hours in advance so that we may fill that time slot with a make-up lesson for another student. In the case of unexpected illness or emergency events, it will be up to the discretion of Inspire to assess the circumstance.

Makeup Lessons

There are two (30-minute) make-up lessons allowed for each session. There are three sessions in a calendar year (Jan-May, June-Aug, Sept-Dec). Make-ups must be completed within the session and are non-transferrable. Please be proactive and look ahead for potential absences; i.e. school events, vacations, etc. These two make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to an instructor’s availability.

Please note there are no make-up lessons available for Group Music Theory classes.

No Make-up Lessons allowed for No-shows

A No-show is defined as a missed lesson in which there had not been a 24-hour notification. Notification from the student/parent is required before the scheduled lesson via phone, email, or in person with the front desk.

There must be a separate notification for missing a make-up lesson. No-shows for make-ups will be considered a forfeit of that lesson and will no longer be honored.

Instructor’s Absence

In the case that an instructor is absent on a given day, Inspire will provide a qualified substitute. Students will only be notified if a substitute is not provided, which then a make-up lesson will be offered in addition to the student’s two make-ups. If Inspire is unable to fulfill this make-up within the current session it will roll over into the next session. Please keep in mind that if you choose not to take a lesson with the qualified substitute it will be considered a forfeiture of that lesson.

Suspending Lessons (with Plans to Return)

Students may suspend their lessons and payments for full calendar months at a time. A suspension is defined as taking month(s) off with plans to return. Here are the steps and policies to follow for suspending lessons:

1) Timing of Suspension

  • Suspensions begin on the first of a month and end on the last day of the month.

2) Notification Requirement

  • A suspension request must be received 30 days in advance.

  • Requests may be submitted by email, through the online suspension request form, or in-person at the front desk.

  • Example: To suspend lessons for the month of June (June 1-30), you must notify us by May 1. In this case, you will not be charged for June and will resume payments in July.

3) Late Notification Fee

  • If the 30-day notice is not provided, a $30.00 processing fee will be charged to your account.

  • If billing has already been processed, tuition for that month will not be refunded.

4) Holding Timeslots

  • Inspire cannot hold a student’s timeslot if payment is suspended.

  • Before returning, notify Inspire of your return via email or phone call.

  • While it is not guaranteed that your regular timeslot and instructor will be available, returning students are given priority over new students.

Withdrawing from Inspire (leaving with no plans to return)

We understand that a student may need to withdraw from Inspire (no longer taking lessons). A 30-day notice is required via email or by filling out a withdrawal request form online on Inspire’s website or in person with the front desk.

If less than 30-day notice is received a $30.00 processing fee will be charged to your account, as well as the tuition fee of lessons taken up to the date of suspension and/or withdrawal request. If billing has already gone through, Inspire will not refund tuition for that month.
